Our former Attorney General did a great job today. Starting by reading her written testimony for over 30 minutes (full transcript here), she stayed through 6 rounds of questions from a group of politicians, most of whom who seemed lesser when interacting with her. This was a person who was confident in her narrative and well able to address the repetitive questions she faced.

For a period of approximately four months, between September and December of 2018, I experienced a consistent and sustained effort by many people within the government to seek to politically interfere in the exercise of prosecutorial discretion in my role as the attorney general of Canada, in an inappropriate effort to secure a deferred prosecution agreement with SNC-Lavalin.
As you listen to idiots on all parts of the political spectrum, you will find the amount of logical fallacies spewed to be immense. When you hear one, I suggest you stop the speaker, roll over her and decimate him.
I understand the desire of the outrage class to decimate Senator Tkachuk and those who think like him. Obviously, they are Nazis and must be annihilated. It is only right. How dare the guy use a phrase commonly used in sports, gaming and politics. Does he know that, whatever he says will be interpreted in a negative way? Does he not realize that he is obviously a Nazi and his only option is to shut the fuck up?
It is fun to watch the pundits sweat. We had the pleasure of watching them carom from one instance of “this will kill the Trump campaign” to another. Who didn’t have fun watching them try to justify including Trump in every question, article and discussion, on the basis of showing that he was not really fit to be President. It is even more fun to watch them squirm when people suggest that the billions in earned media they provided had anything to do with Trump’s victory. The excuses they come up with make many of them look more mentally damaged than a Trump supporter.
My friend David Law, write a blog called Think Anew, Act Anew. I suggest you follow it. David is an intelligent person and his posts are both well written and insightful. I often publicly agree with David. When I don’t, our disagreements are about ideas, not personal bashing. All that said, I think that David got it wrong in his recent post, Cruzifixion, regarding the burgeoning Ted Cruz sex scandal. Not all wrong, of course. But he missed the bigger picture.
